Food for thought 

When does one conversation make an impact on your health like you have never experienced before?  When we get bogged down with the daily routine of life, we often forget about our own health in the process.  And it’s only after our body starts to send the signals that it’s not feeling right that the need to get healthy gets put into the forefront…that is what we call “sick care”.  If you are looking for health care, it’s time to sit down and talk!  As an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, I focus on “Primary Food” and “Secondary Food”.  Primary food, our circle of life, all aspects that effect our health (relationships, career, education, home environment, spirituality, finances, etc.) are the first point of “food” that truly nourish us.  Secondary food, is the food that we eat.  If you spend all day focusing on your food, calories in/calories out, running 10 miles a day, etc. yet you feel like your life is spiraling out of control in many aspects of your actual circle of life…you will NEVER get well.  Our bodies and our minds are so inter-connected.  It’s all about finding the root cause to help heal, be well, and thrive! 

That is why there is no one diet that works for everyone.  I help each person set individual goals and use programs as a sort of “rough draft” to personalize an approach that is designed for you, your unique individual self!  I will be your personal advocate for living an energized and passionate life; by helping to create happy and healthy lives.  By working together, we discover the food and lifestyle choices that best support you.  Making gradual, lifelong changes will help you reach your current and future health goals, it all starts with that one conversation.

Food changes everything.  As you learn how to balance out your primary food, you also begin to make changes to your secondary food, the food you eat.  Food is the only outside element that we allow to enter into our body every day, several times a day.  Food is not just about energy, it is the actual information that is sent to your cells to communicate the processes that your body should make next.  What kind of information do you want to give to your body?  When you put in the junk, you feel like junk, it effects everything, even creating a junk mood.  Unfortunately, we are living at time where junk food is the most available to us, and often the least expensive.  But in reality, it is the most expensive decision you can make.  Adding in the junk to your diet now, makes a huge effect to your health in the long run, which is why our health care costs are rising rapidly.  So it’s time to upgrade your biology and your budget.
